2023 Patient Information Day

Dr Ronchi Receives 2022 Research Award

We are pleased to confirm that our 2022 Research Award recipient is Dr Cristina Ronchi from the University of Birmingham.  Her project, Circulating cell-free DNA-based biomarkers for improved management of adrenocortical carcinoma, continues her previous work in this area.  Dr Ronchi receives a total of £12,435 (£10,000 Elliot Dallen ACC Research Award, and £2,435 of the Cerys Akarca ACC Research Award).

Elliot Dallen Trust Presents Cheque

AMEND CEO Jo Grey was delighted to meet Annabel Dallen recently, who presented Jo with a cheque for £10,000 as the 2022 Elliot Dallen Research Award for  ACC.  Annabel is sister of Elliot, who had ACC and who died in September 2020 aged just 31.  Elliot’s family set up the Elliot Dallen Trust in his memory.

2022 Research Fund Approved by Board

We are pleased to report that the Trustee Board of AMEND (ACC Support’s parent charity) has approved a total of £15,000 for the 2022 research award, specifically for research projects related to adrenocortical cancer.  Please visit our website for more information on the application process.

Survey of ACC Patient Pathways to Diagnosis

If you have or have had adrenocortical cancer and live in the UK, then you can help to improve the patient pathway to diagnosis and treatment!   Please take 5-10 minutes to complete a new survey (developed collaboratively between ACC Support UK and the Clinical Committee of the Society for Endocrinology) to help us gain a snapshot of the current patient pathway for people diagnosed with adrenocortical cancer in the NHS.  Answers will be used to help improve this pathway for the future. Elliot Dallen Research Award for ACC
