ACC Support UK have organised a number of online (virtual) events where you can make contact with other patients and care-givers affected by ACC. These are facilitated by our trained ACC Peer Support Volunteers.
Our Peer Support meetings are for peer support purposes only, and do not offer medical advice nor professional psychological therapy. They are for adults aged 18 and over, however young adults from age 16 are welcome to attend at their parents’ discretion. This is to avoid interruptions and distractions, as well as to keep the meeting discussions private. What is said in a meeting, stays in the meeting. Further ground rules will be shared with you by the volunteer at the start of the meeting.

ACC Support UK Peer Support Volunteers
We are very grateful to our wonderful Peer Support Volunteers, Jennie and Paul, who regularly host our virtual meetings for both those with ACC, and for those who care for them. Read more about this fantastic husband and wife team below:

Jennie Rayner
Jennie was first diagnosed with ACC in September 2018 and soon after joined AMEND and ACC Support UK. Since then Jennie has represented ACC at various academic research events and appeared in the series of ACC Support UK patient information videos produced in 2019. In 2023 Jennie became an AMEND peer support volunteer and has chaired ACC disease specific sessions at annual patient information days and currently chairs ACC peer support meetings via Zoom.

Paul Rayner
Paul joined AMEND and ACC Support UK in 2018 as the partner and carer of Jennie, a then newly diagnosed ACC patient. Since then Paul has represented ACC at various academic research events and in 2023 became an AMEND peer support volunteer to co-chair meetings with Jennie via Zoom. Paul currently also chairs ACC peer support meetings via Zoom specifically aimed at the unmet needs of partners and carers.
